Tulare County Fire Department units responded to a hay fire earlier tonight on Avenue 200 near Road 132, about four miles southeast of Tulare, firefighters reported.

A preliminary hearing is set to begin Thursday for a man accused of knocking Ronnie Hamilton unconscious and leaving him on a Visalia street, where he was hit by a car and killed.

A Porterville man suspected of running a drug-selling operation from a home raided by police earlier this month was arrested Tuesday.
